I know what busy family life with young children looks like because I live it too. Work, school runs, activities, dinner, laundry and everything else that has to fit into the week.
That’s why I think beyond what your home will look like when it’s finished.
I think about where the school bags will go. Whether there’s enough kitchen storage. Where you’ll make tea while someone else is cooking. Whether the furniture actually fits comfortably and whether you have a place for all the everyday things that usually end up on the kitchen worktop.
These are much easier to figure out while you're planning your renovation than once the building work is underway.
That's what I help you work out: your layout, kitchen, storage and overall concept design, planned around your family from the beginning.

We plan your home
Depending on the service you choose, I'll help you work through your layout, kitchen, storage, concept and other important design decisions before they become expensive or difficult to change
It’s much easier to make changes before the building work starts.
A floor plan can look perfectly good on paper, but that doesn’t always tell you how the space will work for your family every day.
I help you think through those decisions early, so your layout, kitchen and storage are properly planned before the build gets underway.

Floor Plan Review
Already have architect's or builder's plans but wondering whether the layout could be optimised for your family?
Send me your plans, photos, I’ll ask you to complete a short questionnaire about how your family lives and what you need from the space.
I'll review everything before we ‘meet’, then we'll have a 45-minute online call to talk through what's working, what I would reconsider and where there may be opportunities to improve the layout, storage or flow.
You'll also receive a written action summary afterwards.
Investment: £275
Space Planning, Storage and Concept Design
My main design service for families who want to get the layout and overall direction of their renovation right before the build progresses too far.
We'll look at the floor as a whole so the rooms don't get planned in isolation.
Your design includes a lifestyle and storage questionnaire, online consultation, layout proposals, concept design, storage recommendations, concept sketches and recommendations for colours, finishes and key materials.
Start with the floor that matters most and add additional floors if you need them.
Investment: £1,700
Designs Add ons
Once your layout and concept design are agreed, you can choose to develop certain areas in more detail.
Joinery + Storage Design
Develop your agreed joinery and storage concepts into more detailed designs and drawings, ready to discuss with your chosen joiner or cabinet maker.
Electrical + Lighting Design
Develop the agreed concept into a detailed electrical and lighting plan, based around your final layout, furniture placement and how your family will use the space.
Investment: £1,500 per add-on
